I recently stayed at a youth hotel in Leipzig and had a great experience. The staff at Sleepy Lion Hostel, Youth Hotel & Apartments was incredibly friendly and the location was amazing! It was perfect for attending the WGT as it was close to all the tram stops and even within walking distance to some of the venues. The breakfast provided was simple but sufficient, especially if you're in a hurry. Additionally, they offered towel rentals at a reasonable price, which was convenient if you forgot to bring your own. the hostel had a welcoming atmosphere, was clean, and checking in/out was easy, even late at night.

The location of the hotel was perfect, very close to the train station. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I also loved the old and beautiful building, especially the cool staircase. Plus, the free tea and coffee provided in the communal space was a nice touch.

One drawback was that there was no soap provided in the room, which I found surprising. the upper beds in the dorm room were a bit slippery and uncomfortable to get off of.

It was also a great value for money, allowing us to save on accommodation expenses and spend more on exciting activities during our trip.

For dads, it would be great to have more family-friendly amenities available, such as a playground or an indoor activity area for the children.

This hostel is the perfect place to dive into the cultural life of a city you didn't even know existed. It's like a hidden gem, with all the city's attractions just a short walk away.

I had a fantastic stay at Sleepy Lion.
